The Schuylkill Flyer Project

A Resource Guide

Welcome to the Schuylkill Flyer Project resource guide! The Schuylkill River trail currently encompasses 75 miles of a continuous paved path, extending from the heart of Philadelphia. It is less than a mile's walk from Penn's campus, but is an incredibly underutilized resource by Penn students.

If you are accessing this site, you may have seen one of the flyers put out, encouraging more use of this trail. This website was created with the intention of providing more Penn students with more information about how taking advantage of this urban green space can benefit their mental and physical health.  The goal of this site is not for one person to explain such a multifaceted topic, but to provide a bank of resources of various forms that may help someone form their own opinions about whether they find it worthwhile to use the Schuylkill River Trail.

The resources here are intended only to be a starting point or basis for understanding about the various benefits of spending time in nature, and cannot be a complete bank of all the information relevant to this topic. For access to a list of resources, click on your desired form of media below, or in the menu above.
